Unit one, Lesson four

THE STARS
At the first lesson I asked you to design a passport for a person who decided to travel through Universe, it was difficult, a lot of you didn't manage to realize it because you knew a little about the misterious way of our planet throughout our Universe.

Exercise nr. 1

Write about the new information that was interesting for you from the consulted sources, be more specific.

Unit one, Lesson three

Hello Dear students!!!!
Grammar topic of our week is : COMPOUND NOUNS AND THEIR PLURAL
So, here, I inserted several activities using them.

Activity nr. 1
In your notebooks join two parts of a compound words and write their plurals, I inserted a picture with the rule and another one with exercise:

Don't forget to write the plural of the found noun...!!!!!!

In your notebook please write only the plural of the found words and the completed text from this exercise.

Unit one, lesson two

The beginnings of life
         
     Life is for some of us efficient, long, worthy process during which we achieve smth., struggle for smth and for sure learn a lot, unfortunately for some of the people life loose the sense and people don't see its beauty. According to the dictionary life means "The physical, mental, and spiritual experiences that constitute existence".






Your hometask for this lesson includes 3 tasks:


1. Watch the video from the link the beginning of life and answer the following questions:
a) What is the role of the cell?
b) Explain the meaning of "eucaryote"
c) What did the reporter say about the black marks on the video?
d) How many times are  bacteria smaller than the size of the cell?
e) How many years ago appeared the complex cells?
f) Explain the word jerk and provide read by you links about "evolution of jerks"
g) what is the role of DNA?
h) What kind of "marriage" happened many years ago? 
i) What happened after the complex cells appeared?


2. Read from the link about 7 theories of the beginnings of life http://www.livescience.com/13363-7-theories-origin-life.html, write about one that you consider got the highest probability to happen.

3. Design a poster illustrating your feelings about life in general.

Unit one, Lesson one

So, our first lesson was about the origin of the Universe, the place where we live.

The theory  I presented is called "Bing Bang", according to it, is considered that all the matter and energy in the universe were concentrated in a single place and about 10-20 bilion years there was an enormous and powerful explosion that spread the matter in all the directions. (you have to read the entire text on the page 9, of your book).
Your hometask is very creative (I promised you...) It includes several tasks.
1. Imagine that you live in 5012 when a lot of people travel around the Universe, for having such a trip you need a passport. Your task is to design a pasport of the citizen of the Universe. (Draw it on separate sheet of paper and bring it for the next lesson).
2. Describe one of the known by you theory about the origin of the Universe (avoid cheating internet sources). Post your stories on the blog.
3. Write the definition of the words in your notebook and learn the definition of the words: Hurl, matter, force of gravity, galaxy, star, clump, moon, satellite, to assume, to justify, speed, phenomenon, to expand, to race, to occure, to predict, radiation, to glow, tough. Write on the blog sentences using this words.
4. Write on the blog about the importance of these people: George Lemantre, Edwin Hubble, Arno Penzias, Robert Wilson.
5. Watch the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TN3Rpz_pSQs and create 5 questions on it. Write your questions on the blog.
